  • Unsalted butter, 4 tbsp (57 g)
  • Mini marshmallows, 10 oz (280 g, 1 bag)
  • Green gel food coloring, 1/2 tsp (add more for brighter slime)

  • Fine sea salt, 1/2 tsp
  • White chocolate chips, 1/2 cup (90 g), melted

How To Make It

  1. Pop the corn: Pop the kernels in coconut oil (or air-pop) and pick out any unpopped ones. Spread the popcorn on a large parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Melt the slime: In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter, then stir in the marshmallows until completely smooth and gooey. Stir in the green gel food coloring until vivid slime green, then the vanilla and salt.
  3. Coat the popcorn: Pour the green marshmallow slime over the popcorn and toss gently with two spatulas until every piece is coated. Work quickly — it sets fast.
  4. Drizzle the chocolate: Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top in zigzags.
  5. Make it spooky: While still sticky, scatter over the candy eyeballs and Halloween sprinkles, pressing a few in so they stick.
  6. Cool and serve: Let it set 10 minutes, then break into chunks and pile into a big black bowl. Serve immediately, or store airtight up to 2 days.

Tips & Variations

  • Color control: gel coloring gives vivid slime green without thinning the marshmallow; liquid coloring needs 1 tsp and dulls the color.
  • Monster faces: use black gel icing to dot pupils on the white-chocolate drizzle for extra spook factor.
  • Nut-free party: this recipe is naturally nut-free — safe for school Halloween parties.
  • No microwave popcorn: bagged microwave popcorn leaves a buttery film the slime won’t stick to — pop fresh kernels or air-pop.
  • Make-ahead: holds 2 days in an airtight container at room temperature; don’t refrigerate (it goes chewy).
